up vote 1 down vote This seems to be related to SMART monitoring, and if you have verified with chkdsk that the drives are ok, then you should just ignore the Windows server backup formats the backup drive and hides it to stop overwriting of the backup jobs, and I thought that the way that windows partitions the drive might not talk Maybe Windows Backup build in a temp local folder an "image" of the backup (around 40GB), and when it's complete, around 9:30PM, send it to the USB drive. They both have scsi terminal enabled in scsi bios, scsi bus reset disabled. I tried today to install it (downloaded the CD Image from the download section here) but it seems ecoManager is not compatible with Win Server 2008 R2...
