This particularmanual, along with about 10 others, is all that is left of my once massivecollection of hardcopy documentation. Possibly it was this that the OP was lokking for?Select allGetHighStep:cvt=storage(10,4);ascb=storage(224,4) ascb_jbni=c2x(storage(d2x(c2d(ascb)+172),4)) But the conversion functions are simple D2X = Decimal to Hex, X2D = Hex to Decimal etc, etc. mongan Posts: 212Joined: Tue Jan 11, 2011 8:32 pm Hasthanked: 1 time Beenthanked: 5 times Top Re: How to get the RC of JCL(submitted by REXX) in REXX by Y weblink

The FTP JES interface is a pretty cool way of doingthis, but the timeout issue is a formidable hurdle. I still need to keep learning, it isa life-long job IMHO.But you have to admit, the JCL IF/THEN facility is a very, very poor featurecompared to, say, REXX (to keep on-topic Whenever you submit a job, you get a message like - Code: IKJ56250I JOB FDI1525X(JOB02128) SUBMITTED You can trap this message by OUTTRAP because it is a TSO message. How can I trap the return code?. They are some of the books I managed tobox up and take with me when I landed at this shop many years ago.

I learned that IF THEN exists for JCL a fewyears back but have yet to use it. All they see is the price tag. This doesn't mean it is unnecessary to go to trainings and conferences andso on, of course... I need to trap the return code of the JCL into my REXX routine and do further processing in the REXX routine accordingly. After that I need to know the Job gotcompleted successfully and then I need to process some other part in myREXX code. Can some one help me, how I can do this. You had all the looping and procedural languageelements that you use for application programming available to control your"batch" process.
